Tonight Special: President Wulff wants to go public

Our President... it is not getting better with him. Today is his first day at the office after the holidays we have heard nothing in the last days. Not from him. Oh, by the way, we are not talking special mortgage conditions anymore. We have found other (embarassing) stuff. It came out that the German President threatened at least 3 newspapers with pressing charges against them if they publish details about the mortgage... ehh.... again: The German President threatened some German newspapers. Yes.

If nobody has cared so far about this nobody (who knew him before Angela intruduced him to everybody living outside Lower Saxony?) and his mortgage though he was not allowed to use his position as minister of Lower Saxony to get special conditions, now EVERYBODY cares! Now, that the parliament is wondering whether he has lied to them about this special bank relationship what does he do? He calls the national tabloid, BILD, and leaves a furious message on the mail box (!) of the chief editor also announcing "consequences" if they do not drop the story.

In August 2011, another newspaper wanted to write a story about his unknown half-sibling. The same. We simply did not know. The newspaper ignored it and printed. Apparently nobody read the article anyway.

Tonight at 20.15 Berlin time ARD (www.ard.de) and ZDF (www.zdf.de) , the two public channels, will show an interview where he is supposed to "explain" how he lost his mind and tried to undermine the freedom of press. This is how dictatorships usually started: by stopping the free press.
The interview will already be online as of 19.00 hrs.
