Apfelkuchen - Apple Cake

Apfelkuchen (Schneller Rührteig)
Zutaten für eine runde Form (28 cm Durchmesser); für ein Blech die doppelte Menge.
  • 125-150 g Butter
  • 200 g Zucker
  • 200 g Mehl
  • 1 Päckchen Backpulver
  • 1 Prise Salz
  • 3 Eier
  • Saft von einer Zitrone
  • ca. 400 g geschälte Äpfel
  1. Zutaten vermengen und cremig rühren
  2. Gleichmäßig in die gefettete Form geben
  3. Mit geschnittenen Äpfeln oder beliebigem Obst der Saison belegen
  4. bei 180 Grad (Heißluft) goldbraun backen (deutscher E-Herd)
Je nach Geschmack kann der Kuchen vor dem Backen noch mit Zucker, Mandeln,
Butter oder Zimt verfeinert werden.

  • 125-150 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 400 g of peeled apples
  1. Stir ingredients together until they are creamy
  2. Give evenly into the prepared pan
  3. Top with sliced apples or any fruit in season
  4. At 180 degrees (hot air) until golden brown (German electrical oven)
Depending on your taste, the cake can be refined before baking with sugar, almonds, butter or cinnamon.

  2. Great question! How come, nobody else told me I forgot to put that information...

    Actually one hour. But the ovens are different in each country. After 45 minutes you might have a look. I always open the oven and put a knife in the dough. If the knife comes out clean, the cake is done.

  3. Hi, great recipe! Just what I was looking for! Thank you.

    However, may I suggest an alternative translation of 1 "Paeckchen" Backpulver? Instead of "packet" we would say "Sachet" of baking powder? ! Sachet of Dr Oetker Backpulver would equate to around 10g or 1/2 tablespoon.
